GPAN Youth Endurance Workshop-

The workshop is open to all GPAN athletes but will be of specific interest to youth coaches and parents.

Improve your 10k and half marathon running
Venue: Peterborough Athletics Arena Date: Saturday 16th February 2019 Time: 10:30 to 16:30 -

Nick Anderson, a UKA Level 4 Endurance Coach and England Athletics flying coach will be presenting a workshop showing runners how to improve their running over the distances from 10k to a half marathon.
It will include practical sessions so come dressed to run.
Booking essential. Cost £5 to be refunded if you attend on the day, Sandwich lunch provided. Bookings to be made via your club or at any Try the Track evening. Further details here

GPAN Track Sessions -- 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month each month from 3rd Wednesday in October to June

Although the hire of the track will be heavily subsidised by both Vivacity and GPAN, as with all GPAN initiatives we have introduced for both senior and junior members, we intend to make a nominal charge per session of £1 per person (50p for those U20) payable on the night.

Unlike the Get Fit 4 sessions, it is not intended that any group will undertake a distance run away from the track, it will instead be an opportunity for runners to try track running, following either their own training session or one organised by coaches attending

These sessions are open to all adult members of GPAN clubs (U17 or older) unless small numbers of juniors are working specifically with a coach from a GPAN club who is also present to supervise. Unattached runners (ie those not a member of a running club) are also welcome to attend and take part and hopefully think about joining a local club.

Try the Track Extra is back with five more dates through the Autumn and Winter.

Wednesdays: 14th November, 12th December 2018, 9th January, 13th Febuary and 13th March 2019.

If you have enjoyed the GPAN Try the Track sessions and would like to try sessions with more focus on drills and a structured session to help improve your running in a smaller group of runners then these sessions are for you.

Led by UKA Athletics and Endurance Coach Ros Hamlyn these sessions are suitable for all abilities.
